Surveys
- Site Surveys Type 1: (Presumptive) This survey does not involve sample taking but is based on the presumption that “asbestos like” materials contain asbestos and require to be managed as such
- Site Survey Type 2: Similar to type 1, however, representative samples are taken for analysis of suspect ACM's to verify the presence of asbestos. This delivers a more definitive result for the customer in that only materials confirmed as containing asbestos require to be managed as such
- Site Survey Type 3: This survey is an extension of type 2 usually performed prior to major refurbishment or demolition. This survey is more obtrusive as ACM's require to be identified and quantified to allow licensed contractors to tender for removal
Risk Assessment & Ongoing Management of Asbestos
- HSE's A Comprehensive Guide to Managing Asbestos in Premises (HSG227) defines the duty holder's responsibility's following a survey. Our Surveyors / Consultants can provide practical assistance and advice relating to ongoing management of asbestos.
- Monitoring Programmes: We can provide a service to monitor the condition of asbestos identified, monitoring its condition and the likelihood of fibre release. This removes the burden from the customer.
